TECHNOLOGIES:
Cotton casing - Cotton threads are the thinnest structure in tire casing technology, which leads to the advantages of lightness and flexibility. This feature makes it possible to create shells with a higher thread count - up to 320 TPI - for premium cotton shells. This feature allows the tire to better adapt to the road surface, resulting in a smoother ride, easier rolling and better grip. To increase the overall strength of the frame, Vittoria uses Corespun yarns, a type of yarn made from cotton and aramid fibers.
GRAPHENE Technology in Tires: Graphene is an innovative material that Vittoria uses in tire compounds to improve tire performance. Graphene is the thinnest material in the world, but also one of the strongest materials ever used for a consumer. Graphene, made up of a single layer of hexagonally shaped carbon atoms, interacts with the rubber by filling the space between the rubber molecules. It acts like a magnet, bringing the rubber molecules closer together and improving the overall structure of the rubber. The main properties of graphene are: thinness, strength, flexibility, lightness. When it comes to MTB tires, GRAPHENE 2.0 improves wet grip across all product lines.
Graphene + Silica - Silica added to graphene improves the tire's performance and provides longer mileage and grip, further enhancing the driving experience. In addition, this new compound combination reduces tire weight and increases efficiency. Vittoria's laboratory tests have shown that the new combination of graphene and silica, compared to a conventional mixture, provides the following performance gains: 9% more speed and rolling characteristics, 32% more road grip, 21% more puncture resistance, longer mileage and longer tire wear time.
