The Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2:1 Ultra Macro APO Lens in Pentax K mount ia an twice life size macro lens, with manual focus, and Auto and Manual aperture for Pentax K mount SLR cameras. The Aperture is communicated via the mechanical Automatic Aperture Coupling Lever on the lens mount, similarly to standard Pentax K mount lens systems. This allows users to adjust the aperture on the body of the camera, and can use partial stops / intermediate aperture settings, such as f6.3.The Manual focus ring aids macro photography where users prefer to have manual focus control. This Pentax K mount has 7 aperture blades.

Similar physical size to other 100mm Macro lenses on the market but the wider magnification range of Laowa 100mm allows macro photographers to capture subject at any size. The 100mm APO f/2.8 2:1 Ultra-Macro is the second 2:1 Macro lens from Laowa - the first one was the 60mm f/2.8. 100mm is one of the most common focal length for macro photography usage. The Laowa 100mm f/2.8 has a Apochromat (APO) design where the chromatic aberration (CA) at BOTH in-focus & out-of-focus area (Longitudinal CA) is controlled to the minimal.
