Teltonika SWM281 is a managed L2 switch with extended L3 features, designed for use in corporate networks, CCTV and IIoT installations. It offers 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports and 4 SFP slots, allowing it to connect multiple devices and maintain stable fiber uplinks over longer distances.

Management features include VLAN, LACP, port isolation, STP/RSTP and mirroring, making it easier to organize traffic and diagnose the network without interrupting operation. Prioritization with 802.1p and DSCP, bandwidth control and traffic shaping keep important voice, video and M2M services at the right response level.

SWM281 supports 802.1X, MAC filtering, RADIUS, TACACS+ and access control lists, which restrict network access to authorized devices and users only. In addition, static IPv4/IPv6 routing and DHCP services improve order in a larger infrastructure and make administration easier.

Support for PROFINET Class B, EtherNet/IP and MRP means the switch fits well into industrial installations and mixed OT and IT environments. It is a practical solution where communication compatibility with controllers, operator panels and monitoring systems matters.

The anodised aluminium enclosure, 483 x 44 x 234 mm dimensions and rack mounting simplify integration into standard telecom cabinets. The device weighs 1853 g, so it does not place excessive load on the infrastructure, and the 100–240 VAC power supply with a C14 socket suits typical server and network deployments.

The operating temperature range of 0°C to 50°C, humidity of 10% to 90% non-condensing and IP30 protection support stable operation in indoor environments. Power consumption is around 5.5 W at idle and up to 20 W under load, which makes it easier to plan power for the whole cabinet.

The web interface, SNMP v2/v3, LLDP and RMS service simplify supervision of multiple devices and shorten administration response times. The package includes 2 years of RMS management, supporting remote updates, configuration deployment and ongoing network maintenance without unnecessary downtime.
