The detector is intended for automatic control of building lighting (or other electrical devices) activation upon detecting motion near its installation location.
The heart of the device is a passive IR sensor with a motion detection angle of about 360 degrees.
Motion is detected based on the principle of measuring the temperature change in the visible sector assigned to the detector, caused by a person present there.
When motion is detected by the PIR sensor, the lighting automatically turns on (or another electrically controlled device) and remains on as long as the motion sensor detects presence (movement) in the field of view.
If no external presence is detected within a set (user-defined) time, the lighting (or another electrical device) will be automatically turned off.
The detector is additionally equipped with a special photo-optical sensor, which, as an option, allows for energy savings by not turning on the lighting, for example, during the day.
