Original or compatible cartridges

An original cartridge comes from the same company that made your printer: consistent quality and reliable page yield, at a higher price. A compatible cartridge is built by a third party, fits the same model and usually costs noticeably less. High-volume black text printing often calls for compatible cartridges, while photos and colour work are safer with originals. Before ordering, check that the cartridge code matches your printer's requirements.
