PCTG (Poly Cyclohexylenedimethyl terephthalate) is a plastic of the PET-G family. The difficult-to-pronounce name hides an easy-to-use 3D plastic. Compared to PETG, it is stronger, has better resistance to chemical effects. Its layer adhesion is also better, and the surfaces of the manufactured products are smoother. It is more transparent and temperature resistant. An excellent solution for printing mechanical parts or components - it can withstand temperatures of 76° C without deformation.

Print settings:

• Printing temperature: – 250° C – 270° C
• Platform temperature: – 80° C – 90° C
• Recommended print cooling – 0% - 50%
• Printing speed – 50 mm/s -100 mm/s
• Printing in a closed chamber – unnecessary

Advantages:

• Translucency possible (with certain colors)

Disadvantages:

• Greater threading possible
• When printing on certain coatings, a release layer is required (window cleaner, pencil glue, etc.)
