All the best parts from V6 are meticulously crafted to make the V6 Gold Edition. This HotEnd is not only shiny, but also designed for exceptional performance with all plastics and optimized for high temperature and abrasive 3D printing.
In this case, we increased the heat transfer to the plastic and reduced the possibility of plastic residue sticking to it. The non-stick properties of the coated copper blocks are useful for printing at high temperatures, where silicone gaskets have a shorter lifespan.
The standard brass tip has been upgraded to hardened steel. While brass tips can wear and even damage abrasive materials, hardened steel will last a lifetime. If you are printing with carbon fiber, wood/metal filled plastics, or even glow-in-the-dark plastics, these tips are a must.
The heater cartridges have been upgraded to high-precision quick-release heater cartridges. They feature superior physical dimensions for greater surface area and improved electrical specifications for more stable operation. These quick-release connectors allow for easier maintenance and upgrades, allowing the HotEnd to be removed without having to rewire the entire wiring system.
We have upgraded from standard PTFE to high tolerance Capricorn PTFE tubing. Capricorn Bowden tubing has a denser diameter and significantly reduced friction, ensuring smoother and more precise extrusion.
