BuildTak is a thin, durable printing surface. It replaces the need for blue masking tape and/or polyamide films such as Kapton. Made from high-quality, heat-resistant raw materials, BuildTak provides a stable construction platform for 3D printed objects to adhere to, while allowing for clean and easy removal of finished materials.

BuildTak offers the following benefits:

• Works great with ABS, PLA and more, no need to change the surface. And no more pre-treatments like hairspray or acetone slurry!
• Easy installation on an empty print bed and clean removal without adhesive residue.
• Durable and with optimal care, it can last for many hours while providing greater protection for the original print bed surface.
• Creates optimal contact between the 3D printed object and the build surface throughout the entire printing process, while preventing curling. Once the build is complete, the 3D printed object can be removed cleanly with minimal prying or scratching.
• A proprietary, heat-resistant formulation designed to withstand the typical temperatures used in heated print beds (i.e. 110-125°C). With safety in mind, BuildTak is made from UL flame-rated raw materials.
• BuildTak just works!

Main features:

• Works with ABS, PLA, HIPS, PET+, Wood PLA and TPE, TPU
• Additionally, we were able to adhere nylon and PETT when used with a thin layer of washable glue stick on the BuildTak surface
• Installation is much easier than conventional masking tape or films, and the likelihood of air bubbles is reduced
• Protects the structural plate
• Heat-resistant and durable, can be reused for many consecutive builds and you can use a variety of filament materials without having to change the printing surface
• Creates an optimal bond between the 3D printed object and the build surface, which increases the likelihood that your object will hold during printing and then allows for clean and easy removal of the object from the build surface.
