Spectrum Premium PET-G

Spectrum PET-G Premium is the second most popular material for desktop 3D printing. The main advantage of Spectrum PET-G Premium is its virtually zero shrinkage rate and low moisture absorption compared to other thermoplastics used for FDM/FFF 3D printing. Products made from PET-G maintain stable properties over a long service life. Spectrum PET-G Premium combines the advantages of PLA and ABS. It also provides near-seamless printing and exceptional adhesion between layers.

Objects printed with Spectrum PET-G Premium transparent ink have a high crystalline phase content, which allows for a near-transparent effect on a small portion of the external perimeter of additively manufactured objects. The granules and pigments used in the production of Spectrum PET-G Premium are approved for food contact.

As for other properties of Spectrum PET-G Premium, note its good creep resistance under constant load conditions. This is due to the very good cohesion of the layers of the applied material. This results in a much lower mechanical anisotropy of the printed objects, which means that the mechanical properties vary less for each production direction than with other thermoplastic materials for 3D printing.

The very good mechanical properties of Spectrum PET-G Premium, together with its chemical resistance, determine the use of this material in the production of objects with relatively high dimensional accuracy and shape stability and mechanical properties. These are mainly gears and plain bearings, which are exposed to relatively high static loads in an aquatic environment. PET-G is also used to produce semi-transparent cabinets and illuminated parts of various signs and billboards.

Packaging
The filament is wound onto a neat, transparent spool. Each spool contains information about the material type, diameter and recommended printing temperature. The filament is vacuum packed with a desiccant. The entire product is packed in the original, airtight Spectrum Filaments packaging.
