Due to its resistance to UV rays, high temperatures and humidity, ASA plastic is an excellent choice for all 3D prints that will be exposed to weather conditions. High mechanical and thermal resistance (up to 94 ° C) and ease of printing make this material an excellent substitute for ABS, ensuring its popularity in the automotive industry and the production of everyday objects. ASA (acrylonitrile-styrene-acrylate) unlike ABS, does not require a heated chamber for a 3D printer. Lower shrinkage and good adhesion protect the model from curling and cracking and ensure high dimensional stability of the print.
The finished ASA print can be smoothed with acetone. The material is suitable for sanding and painting. It can also be glued with acetone.
Purpose:
