Damp 3D printing filament can cause a variety of problems. In fact, many problems blamed on hotends or nozzles can be traced back to filament that has absorbed too much moisture. Slice Engineering is located in humid Florida, so they decided to find a simple way to keep moisture out of their prints. The result was a 3D printer filament desiccant.

To use a desiccant for 3D printer filament, simply peel off the outer shrink wrap and remove the cap, then insert the canister into the center of the filament spool. Store the spool in an airtight container and watch the moisture evaporate!
