What's new in the addition?

The main thing that the addition brings is the ability to harm other players. The deck contains a Streaking Kittens card that allows you to keep an Exploding Kittens card in your hand without exploding. This provides some protection against the card stealing action. Because you never know if your opponent has both cards in hand (both Streaking Kittens and Exploding Kittens ). So when stealing a card from your opponent, there is always a chance to get an Exploding Kittens card and immediately explode. This is just one of the options. It is also possible to blind other players with a Curse Card. Or wreak havoc with a Catatonic bomb card. In other words, augmentation gives you more control over the situation and reduces the randomness of luck in the game.
