The HC-X20E supports a high bit rate of 200Mbps to record 59.94p/50p video with HEVC (LongGOP/10 bit 4:2:0/MOV) codec. The Super Slow-motion feature supports 10-bit recording in FHD 120/100 fps and 4K (UHD) VFR 2-60 fps. 4K High Precision AF Face Detection captures subjects accurately, eliminating out-of-focus and underexposure issues. In addition, the addition of color recognition greatly improves object tracking when the face moves to either side. In both UHD/FHD modes, in addition to optical image stabilization, electronic image stabilization detects and corrects the image in 5-axis direction.

Records 4:2:2 10-bit color profile up to LongGOP UHD 29.97p/25p (150Mbps) or FHD 59.94p/50p (100Mbps) with SD cards. Outputs 10-bit UHD 59.94p/50p images via HDMI. RTSP/RTP/RTMP/RTMPS compatible HD live streaming allows you to live stream and share concerts, sports events and news broadcasts to Facebook, YouTube and more.

Built-in Wi-Fi module, so only body Wi-Fi connection is possible. Wireless camera settings and lens control are also available via the HC ROP tablet or smartphone app.

The X20's lens housing has three manual rings for focus, zoom and iris control. These manual functions ensure professional work and allow you to do it quickly and intuitively.

ND filters are built into the lens to suppress the amount of incident light. Filters can be selected (Clear, 1/4, 1/16 or 1/64) to suit the shooting environment. This is handy, for example, when you want to shoot at a slow shutter speed in bright daylight.

The approximately 2,760,000-dot liquid crystal display provides excellent visibility even in bright sunlight and is very bright, while the electrostatic touch panel allows easy menu selection. Simultaneous LCD/EVF output continuously displays the LCD image whether the EVF is viewed or not. The 2,360,000 dot equivalent color OLED viewfinder can be tilted for more comfort. The large eyepiece fits comfortably on any eye.

It enables unlimited recording by simply changing SD cards, and also allows simultaneous backup recording for high recording reliability (the maximum amount of data that can be recorded on multiple SD cards is 96 GB. Recording will not stop even when the data size exceeds 96 GB).

45 functions can be assigned to user buttons. There are a total of 14 user buttons: nine on the body and five on the LCD touch panel. The OIS and D.ZOOM buttons can also be used as custom buttons.

Wired LAN connection ensures stable live streaming even in environments with unstable Wi-Fi connection via USB-LAN adapter (sold separately).
