Austrian Audio is a company founded by former AKG designers with the ambitious goal of bringing state-of-the-art Audio Technology back to Austria, the capital of Vienna. The Austrian Audio HI-X50 is a lightweight and foldable on-ear headphone that offers good efficiency for modern listening. The distortion of the long-stroke 44mm elements is minimal and the frequency response of the headset ranges from very low from 5 Hz to 28 kilohertz. The metal hinges and metal bracket are durable and the cord is detachable and replaceable. The headset is also available in a more closed and noise-eliminating over-ear model HI-X55
