 | How and from what is Franke Fragranit + made?Franke Fragranit + is a material that contains 80% granite and 20% acrylic. Granite is the fourth most natural material in terms of hardness (after topaz, ruby and diamond). Acrylic is one of the highest quality synthetic materials used in many areas of production: aquariums, dentistry, etc. For two reasons, acrylic is used in Fragranit sinks. First, it does not transmit more light than glass. This is important to get more shades. Acrylic also has excellent mechanical properties, which improves the quality of the Fragranit sink. The color pigment is chemically coated on ultra-pure granite particles. The pigment is used as a binder when the mass enters the high temperature furnace. The pigment mixed with the granite binds all the particles chemically when exposed to heat. To obtain a natural color, the different monochrome particles are mixed in the prescribed proportions. The resulting granite is mixed with acrylic. This is not an easy task because granite is much stronger than stainless steel. At this stage of production, Fragranit is liquid as lava. In order to convert this liquid mass into a solid product, a high temperature is maintained during casting. The mold itself is inverted from the bottom up. Granite is heavier than acrylic, so it is natural that more granite settles to the bottom, ie the future work surface. The sink is machined with a diamond cutter because only it is hard enough to mill the desired shape. |

 | What is Sanitized ® ?The kitchen is a place where there are favorable conditions for bacteria to multiply, so hygiene is very important here. On normal surfaces, the bacteria multiply constantly, and after 20 minutes, their number doubles. This should not be the case in the kitchen where food is prepared. What is a valve and what to choose?We call the valve the sink plug, the overflow pipe and the part connected to the pipeline. Typically, this uncomplicated mechanism is included with the stone mass sinks. The valve can be of two types - plugged by hand and eccentric. The eccentric valve is controlled by a knob or button that is mounted on the sink or countertop. Some series, such as the Ronda or Strata, have a range of sinks with both a plug and an eccentric valve. However, most Franke stone mass sinks come with an eccentric valve. |  |
