Many have tried to recreate the scent of iris, but its rhizomes have never had the same attraction as the Bois d'Iris. Once distilled, this creamy substance is transformed into a wonderful and priceless treasure: iris absolute. Eight years of complex work are required to extract one liter of iris absolute from forty tons of iris rhizomes, hence the rarity of this aristocratic aroma in today's perfume compositions...
