The strip consists of 8 individually addressable RGB LEDs WS2812 with an integrated driver. A single microcontroller pin is sufficient to control the module. The diodes are evenly spaced on a 51.1mm long board. Each of them drains up to 18 mA of current, which in this case gives a total value of about 290 mA. The circuit can be supplied with a voltage from 4V to 7V. The communication protocol used allows the diodes to be connected in series. Another circuit should be connected to the output connector, connecting 5V, GND and DOUT to DIN, respectively. The manufacturer indicates that when using more than 500 diodes, the system RAM may not be enough
