The background of the dial is white, and the most important markings are fluorescent. The compass features a red LED backlight, allowing it to be used at night without a flashlight. The red diode color maintains the highest camouflage standard due to the use of the shortest wavelength color – it is least visible from a distance. The glass covering the dial is equipped with a lens that facilitates reading. The folding sight, necessary for determining azimuth in the field, has a larger objective, allowing simultaneous aiming and observing of the enlarged dial. The compass has two scales, with ratios of 1:50,000 and 1:25,000. The compass is packaged in an original box with instructions for use in English and German.
