The Icy Dock flexiDOCK MB021VP-B is a compact U.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0/4.0 SSD removable frame that supports data transfer rates up to 64 Gbit/s via a Slimline SAS (SFF-8654) connector. It fits into the external 3.5" drive bay of the computer case and allows you to install and replace drives without a case and without a front cover. Users can access their U.2 SSD without opening the computer case and without using any tools or screws. Just insert the U.2 SSD, press the power button to power up the drive and you're good to go.The open panel design allows users to swap out U.2 NVMe SSD drives in a matter of seconds.The eject button on the drive will pop out to eject the drive An elegant and easy-to-read status LED is integrated with the eject button and shows the current status of the drive Icy Dock has developed a smart drive control mechanism for smooth and reliable full drive insertion/ejection, whether you are using a 7mm or 15mm high U.2 SSD There are two guide cams on both sides of the drive and a metal flap on the back that automatically adjusts to the height of the drive. Each guide cam presses the gear into place, while a matching metal flap pushes the gear down to improve gear stability.
