“Perform-V” is a new vocal processor that mounts to a stand, opening up a whole new world of performance possibilities. Starting with the “Adaptive Tone” app, which automatically controls EQ, de-esser, gate, and compression, your voice will always cut through the mix and sound great in any environment. Add studio-quality reverb, doubling, and echo – each in four different styles – and you can easily create unforgettable vocal effects that perfectly match your song. However, if you find that you need more effects, use the free “Perform-V” smartphone app to download additional ones: “HardTune” (pitch corrector), harmonizer, megaphone, and modulation effects such as chorus and flanger. You can also download presets to your computer using the “Voice Support” app and upload them to “Perform-V” via USB port. “Perform-V” is a compact device with huge capabilities. It has many features available in other TC Helicon devices, such as the HIT function – you can assign a group of effects to a single button and use it to create tension in the chorus by adding several additional modulated voices with one finger. Other useful features include automatic microphone sensitivity adjustment, feedback suppression circuit, built-in “RoomSense” microphones allowing practice without a microphone, sound collection from the room so that the headphone track can be heard with ambient sound, and the ability to learn harmonies of other instruments, AUX input for connecting external audio sources, phantom power, “Tap Tempo” button, ability to work with TC Helicon MP-75 and MP-76 control microphones, and “Switch-3” and “Switch-6” footswitches.
