Coffee machine Baratza Sette 270

Baratza is revolutionizing the grinding house and small cafes! The methodology, which has been developed for the past 8 years, combines simplicity, efficiency and durability into an even better grinding experience. The Sette 270 offers exceptionally precise grind settings not only for espresso, but also for many different manual methods.

The Sette was designed for a maximum of 2 pounds (1 kg) per day and an espresso duty cycle of 10%. It is also possible to grind no more than 150 grams of coffee for pouring at one time. There must be a break of at least 1 minute between each sanding cycle.

Burrs

40mm steel, tapered cores produce 3.5 - 5.5 grams of grind per second with less fines (depending on grind setting). The manufacturer, the company Etzinger, estimates that the core will be optimally used in a couple of years. Cleaning is very easy as splinters are usually removed and applied.

Grinding adjustment

The Sette 270 offers 30 steps of macro-adjustment and stepless micro-adjustment based on 9 indicators for even more control. Basically, we choose the grind size using the macro scale and then adjust the micro setting to make our recipe the best it can be. A wide selection of grind sizes allows you to brew delicious espresso coffees, also by hand or by pouring, for example, drip, aeropress or chemex.

Design and performance

The grinder has a control panel with 3 buttons and an LCD screen. We can easily program our dose to within 0.1g. After collecting the dose, we simply press the START button and the grinder automatically starts distributing the desired amount.

The universal holder provides another useful feature. We can repair a portafilter or one of the most popular cooking devices (v60, Clever od Able Kone) while the cores are in operation. Grinding directly to the devices makes working with the Sette 270 faster and more pleasant.

The grinder itself looks modern and compact, with metal and plastic elements. Due to its dimensions, the Sette 270W can fit on any kitchen table or even the narrowest coffee bar.
