The use of Dual Optical Detection technology allows for the detection of both white and black smoke, which significantly increases the sensor’s effectiveness. Multi-standard optics ensure sensitivity and measurement accuracy while reducing the risk of unnecessary alarms. Additionally, the device performs automatic self-tests, which can also be initiated via the app, ensuring the system operates correctly at all times.
Integrated whole-home alarm system
The sensor works with a dedicated Meross hub, enabling the creation of a connected alarm system. If smoke is detected by one device, all paired sensors trigger an alarm, increasing the effectiveness of alerts throughout the home. Even in the absence of internet or power to the hub, local communication continues to function, ensuring uninterrupted protection. "Do Not Disturb" mode allows you to turn off indicator lights and low-battery notifications at night, promoting a peaceful sleep. The alarm mute function lasts for about 10 minutes, and the low-battery warning can be temporarily disabled for about 10 hours. Additionally, device testing is performed directly from your smartphone, eliminating the need to reach for the sensor mounted on the ceiling.
