MK8 nozzle with ruby - 0.6 mm. Compatible with: Creality CR-10 series, MakerBot Replicator 2, CraftBot series.The PrimaCreator Ruby Nozzle is the latest addition to the PrimaCreator nozzle range.
The most common recommended nozzle is a regular brass nozzle because they have excellent thermal conductivity. However, a brass nozzle has its drawbacks. If you want to print with abrasive materials such as carbon, a regular brass nozzle will wear out in a very short time. That is why you can choose to use a hardened steel nozzle, it will not wear out as quickly as a brass nozzle, but it is made of steel and as a material is not optimized for use as an everyday nozzle because the thermal conductivity is not as good as a brass nozzle.
We have the same high quality brass as in the regular nozzles, but we have also added a small ruby stone to the tip of the nozzle. This turns a regular nozzle into a nozzle that you can use with standard plastics such as PLA, ABS, PETG, etc. Also more abrasive ones such as carbon filled plastics, metal, wood.
All PrimaCreator ruby nozzles are made of the highest quality brass with ruby tip. All nozzles are manufactured with tolerances of less than ± 0.01 mm. This means that the surface of your plastic will be very smooth and clear during extrusion, which of course will improve your prints.
For best results and optimal print quality, we strongly recommend re-aligning the plate when you replace a new nozzle. Please note that the Prima Creator nozzle may be compatible with your printer, but the distance between the nozzle and the build plate must be adjusted.
The Prima Creator tip manufacturing process starts with the selection of high-quality material. When the material reaches the factory, the first step is to visually inspect the material that will be used for each batch of tips. Then it’s time to compress the material, in other words, to make it into a long rod. In our process, this is done only once, in many other (cheaper) cases this process has to be repeated several times, often even 3-4 times, but you don’t get the same results.
After this process, the material passes through an ultrasonic cleaning bath, and then is cleaned again and protected from surface oxidation.
The tip will now take shape with millimetre precision, with a tolerance of less than ± 0.01 mm.
