This kit features a high-quality extruder with the ability to print faster and improve quality. An adjustable screw allows you to precisely adjust the force applied to the plastic. This allows for more reliable printing with a variety of plastics, both rigid and flexible, and the DualDrive system ensures that the extruder never loses grip on the plastic.
Lower current recommended- To avoid clogging the Bowden tube, we recommend reducing the stepper motor current to almost half of its starting current. Check out the step-by-step guide on how to do this.
- The Bowden tube is held firmly in place by a 4mm industry standard integrated push-fit connector.
- There is now a gap of almost 0.1mm between the Bondtech gears and the SLS 3D printed housing, which prevents the plastic filament from getting stuck. An additional short PTFE tube is added between the extruder and the plastic sensor to make it easier to insert and remove the plastic filament.
- The body parts are professionally SLS 3D printed in polyamide for maximum strength and precision. The slightly taller extruder geometry results in a total print height of 390 mm.
- To use this upgrade kit, you need to update your Creality3D firmware. The E-steps must be updated to 415. Please refer to the installation guide on how to do this, which can be found in the Step by Step Guide tab. Your printer also needs to have the maximum Z height set to 390mm using the printer settings.
