PrimaCreator NylonPower PA 6/66 is a special copolymer blend 3D printer polyamide plastic that takes advantage of all the strengths of PA 6 and PA 66. The combination of these two types of polyamides makes our nylon very easy to 3D print. Nylon (PA) is usually very difficult to 3D print with. With conventional nylon 3D printer plastics, you will have difficulty sticking to the build plate. With NylonPower, you can use lower 3D printing temperatures than with conventional nylon. Use this material in the most common FFF/FDM 3D printers.
When 3D printing with nylon, you should do so on a heated build plate. For best adhesion, we recommend using Magigoo PA. The temperature should be 60-80°C.
Nylon has strong mechanical strength and is less likely to deform. It is difficult to tear or break. In addition, nylon is also one of the best materials when it comes to impact resistance. Nylon is very hygroscopic. This means that it absorbs liquids. This can be useful if you want to paint plastic. This also means that it is important to dry the nylon before use. You can set the chamber to 70-80 °C and leave it for 4-8 hours. The longer you leave it, the drier it will be. This will also reflect on the finished print result, both visually and in terms of performance.
