Thickness gauge for measuring paint thickness on automotive steel and aluminum sheets.

The meter has an elastically suspended measuring head , which is designed so that when the probe is pressed against the tested surface, it "slips" into the probe body. This results in a more accurate measurement due to more uniform pressure on the test surface. Hand tremors are also eliminated.

The MEASUREMENT ASSISTANT ^® function informs the appraising car if it has undergone body and paint repairs.

When the function is enabled, messages informing about the condition of the tin are displayed on the meter screen during measurements:
- "THIN" - too thin varnish;
– “ LAK OK ” – correct varnishing;
- " 2xLAK " - the second layer of varnish;
– “ SET! - spatula.

It should be noted that the MEASUREMENT ASSISTANT® function is only an aid in the interpretation of measurements, it cannot be the basis for an unequivocal answer to the question of whether the car has undergone body and paint repair. That said, many people who value cars don't really know what the specified paint thickness means, so the feature above is to help you do that.

The HOLD function allows you to take a measurement and stop it, so you can move the meter away from the test surface and read the measurement. The HOLD function can be turned off at the MENU level.

The sound alarm is especially useful when performing measurements with the HOLD function activated. After the measurement, the meter informs us of this fact with a short sound signal. The sound signal can be turned off from the MENU level.
