Both components of the composite are pressed and laminated, resulting in a strong, highly durable material with the following properties:
harmless to the knife - does not dull knife blades;
safe contact with food;
non-porous surface protects against bacteria;
does not require impregnation or oiling;
resistant to high temperatures up to 176oC.
