Add-on for Dixit or Dixit Odyssey

Dixit 8 features 84 new cards with a theme of harmony or the struggle to preserve it. These cards can be combined with all Dixit game editions and expansions.

Dixit is an association game whose unusual graphics, simple rules and unlimited imagination create a new dimension of entertainment.

What is it about?

Each player becomes the narrator during their story. He chooses one of his 6 photos and comes up with a link to it. A sentence can be a single word, a sound or a quote - there are no limits, you can even sing something! The other players then choose from their cards the one they think best matches the storyteller's password and place it face down on the table. The Storyteller shuffles all these cards, including his own, and places them face up on the table. The players (except the storyteller) vote secretly which card is the card the storyteller has made an association with. Once everyone has chosen, scoring begins.

If no one guesses which card belonged to the narrator, because his association was too abstract, then he does not collect points and the other players are awarded. Similarly, if all the voices point to the storyteller's card, it means that the association was either too simple or too literal. In other handouts, points are awarded and if any of the players vote for the card you played because you played what they thought was better for the handout, you get bonus points!

The author of the game is Jean Louis Roubira, a doctor who works at the Poitiers Hospital with young patients experiencing difficulties in the school environment and beyond. After a few games of Dixit, they noticed a significant improvement in their expression and relationships with other people. The game can also be used as a pedagogical and therapeutic tool.

Warning! This is not a standalone game! The main version of the game is required to play: Dixit.
