The UX II UV filter with water resistant coating is a redesign of the HMC UV(C) filter, now integrated into the new standard grade UX II series together with the UX II CIR-PL filter. The UX II UV filter is a completely new concept design product aimed at entry-level users that ensures high quality standards with basic and modern features.The “UX” in the series name stands for User eXperience, referring to the overall experience that users will have when using these filters and everything related to it. Calling this series UX, we aim to offer users a better personalized experience in all photography-related activities.
Although invisible to the naked eye, UV rays can affect the image when shooting in coastal or mountainous environments, resulting in blurred outlines or faded and whitish images.
UV filters can suppress the UV spectrum in daylight, which usually results in poor image performance. This filter can be used with both film and digital cameras and provides sharper images. Also, by keeping it attached at all times, this filter serves as everyday lens protection.
The anti-reflective coating prevents unwanted reflections and increases light transmission.
A waterproof coating has been added to the non-reflective coating. This coating repels water drops and makes it easier to clean the filter surface from dirt or fingerprints.
A thin frame does not ensure vignetting, even for wide-angle lenses.
