Proximity detection
The DualCurtain detector has a unique technology for expanding the protected area.
When close zone detection is enabled, the detector's upper PIR sensor receives an additional narrow observation sector, directed at a 40 degree downward angle relative to the main sector.
This feature allows both sensors to detect motion when a person crosses the protected perimeter close to the detector, avoiding the blind spot that is a typical problem with such detectors.
Proximity detection is designed to protect windows and other passages that animals cannot access.
Proximity detection mode is a proprietary technology of Ajax Systems.
Two independent detectors
The detection range of each of the optical systems is independently adjustable.
This allows you to accurately determine the perimeter protected by the detector and avoid false alarms caused by a bush swaying in the wind or people walking on a public sidewalk.
The optical systems are adjusted so that the field of view of the detector is not obstructed by a pole or downspout.
You can set the sensitivity or disable one of the optical systems in the app.
The range of each optical system is determined within 15 meters.
Resistance to attacks
The DualCurtain detector cannot be blinded or disabled even if the Ajax security system is disabled.
The optical systems of the detector are reinforced with advanced masking sensors that react to obstacles, covering or painting the lenses, and the tamper will not allow the device to be removed from the holder unnoticed.
And even if the detector was destroyed instantly, the Ajax control panel would detect the loss of communication within <1 min and inform the central monitoring station and users about the problem.
Exceptional autonomy
Due to its low power consumption, this curtain detector can operate for many years from the included batteries. Battery life reaches 4 years.
The monitoring station and users will be alerted in advance of the need for device maintenance.
The Ajax app shows the battery level.
Simple connection and configuration
In order to connect the detector to the system, you only need to scan the QR code with the Ajax app, assign it a name and a room. Configure the device in the app in real-time while testing detection zones and connectivity. If necessary, the detector can be turned off or its system parameters can be reconfigured remotely without visiting the site.
