More than just pictures

If you need versatility in almost any shooting situation, this constant f/4 aperture 24-70mm zoom lens will help you achieve it. From low-light shooting to fast action, you'll get greater detail, greater depth and richer colors in every photo and movie.

Capture the scene

A minimum focus distance of just 0.3m at any zoom setting gives you control over the composition of your shot, from close-up to infinity.

Get sharp photos

A constant f/4 aperture allows for exceptional low-light shooting quality and consistent exposure throughout the zoom range. Achieve maximum photo quality by avoiding the need to set a high ISO.

Great range

Thanks to the ultra-wide-angle Z mount from Nikon, the NIKKOR Z lens captures more light throughout the frame. This, combined with the small distance between the connector and the sensor, helps to significantly reduce light attenuation at the edges of the frame. The result is flawless sharpness from one edge of the frame to the other throughout the entire zoom range.

Impeccable. All the way to the edge of the frame.

Thanks to the exceptional detailing capabilities of this variable focus lens, every component of the scene is reproduced flawlessly. Peripheral light attenuation at the edges of the frame is controlled, so brightness throughout the frame is not affected. In addition, rich colors and high contrast are ensured.

Unbelievable clarity

Nikon's anti-reflective nanometer crystal coating reduces image ghosting and flare, even in backlight conditions, resulting in sharper images. Or when you're shooting scenes with multiple direct light sources in the frame.

Realistic lights

Improved reproduction of point-shaped light sources such as street lights at night is achieved by minimizing scattered flare. Point-shaped light sources appear as regular round dots, even at the edges of the image.

Exclusive colors

Aspherical ED glass and aspherical lenses ensure rich colors and high contrast.

Bright. Soundless. Accurate.

NIKKOR Z's multi-focus system and multiple AF motors ensure your subject is in focus - and stays in focus. Focusing is smooth and silent, making this lens ideal for both movies and stills.

The required angle

High-speed data transfer between the lens and Z-series camera from Nikon ensures quality distortion compensation throughout the zoom range. Exceptional sharpness is achieved and lines remain straight.

Any lighting

This lens uses camera shake reduction to allow you to shoot at shutter speeds up to five stops slower than would otherwise be possible.¹ Capture sharper photos in the dark or record movies without unwanted camera shake.

Always accurate

Sliding lenses ensure precise focus for close-up photography. Thanks to the electromagnetic diaphragm, accurate exposure is maintained during high-speed burst shooting.

Control the situation

The control ring, on the surface of which there are grooves, ensures extremely precise and intuitive control. When shooting in AF mode, you can assign exposure compensation settings to the control ring. When shooting in manual focus mode, you can use the control ring as a focus ring. Focus shift is adjustable based on how fast or slow you turn the ring, giving you perfect control over the focus point.

Dynamic perspectives. Attention-grabbing movies.

Shoot exceptional full-frame footage with an optical design that takes full advantage of the wide dynamic range of the Z-series camera from Nikon. Zoom in on objects that tell a story.

Silence! Action!

Ultra-quiet AF is achieved thanks to a virtually silent stepper motor. The zoom is silent, and the silent control ring allows you to adjust the aperture without clicking sounds.

Amazingly smooth

The multi-focus system of this lens ensures incredibly smooth and precise switching between two different focal lengths. Frame movement during focusing is minimized, as is focal shift.

Inspiration is everywhere

Together with the Z series camera from Nikon, this compact, lightweight zoom lens gives you the freedom to bring your ideas to life wherever you are. Every moving part of the lens barrel is sealed to protect against dust and water droplets. Almost no water marks remain on the fluorine coating, dust and dirt do not accumulate, so the quality of the photos remains impeccable.
