Usage:
Soak the sharpening stone in water for 5 minutes, then take it out and place it on a non-slip surface. This procedure must be repeated whenever the whetstone is used for more than two days.
The surface on which the sharpening stone is placed must not move. The whetstone must always be wet when sharpening.
Choose the desired sharpening surface depending on the wear of the blade of the knife or other tool: rougher surface - for very worn and damaged blades; softer surface - for finishing and smoothing the sharpening.
Hold the surface of the knife to be sharpened at a 15-30° angle and move back and forth diagonally across the surface of the sharpener. Then turn the knife over. Always start with a rougher surface and finish with a softer surface.
After use, clean the surface of the sharpening stone with a soft brush and leave it to dry in a well-ventilated room. Clean the knife with a sponge and water and let it dry.
Caution: Do not use a whetstone to sharpen serrated knife blades or scissors. Sharpen the knives gently so as not to damage them. Do not drop the stone on the ground or otherwise hit it. Use the entire surface of the stone to achieve evenness of sharpening. Keep out of reach of children.
