RME Fireface UCX II sound card for USB

The RME Fireface UCX II is an ultra-compact sound card for studio and live recording with a very wide range of connections. The Fireface UCX II continues RME's long tradition of compact, advanced sound cards, still only half the size of a 19 "rack.

The Fireface UCX II includes two microphone / line preamps with XLR combo connector and headphone jack on the front panel, and a comprehensive arsenal of connections on the back of the device: 4 analog inputs, 6 analog outputs, MIDI I / O, ADAT I / O, AES / EBU, S / PDIF I / O both USB 2.0 and byte clock connections ensure that the UCX II integrates easily into your hardware. The AD / DA converters on the UCX card are mastering level, and the SteadyClock FS keeps the jitter very low and the clock stable. Combined with RME’s legendary drivers, the end result is a lightning-fast and extremely stable sound card despite the bus used.

Although there are only four buttons and one encoder on the front panel, the sleek look shouldn’t be fooled. The Fireface UCX II also works as a fully standalone device: the settings for the various interfaces can be changed directly from the device itself, and the DURec function allows recording directly to a USB stick or hard drive (max. 2 TB). The recording function works on the internal DSP and thus does not require a computer. The Fireface UCX II therefore also acts as a field recorder.
