The low magnesium content decreases the urinary mineral content. It prevents the formation of struvite stones because magnesium is required for their development. DL-methionine and calcium sulphate, which acidify the urine, lower the acidity of the urine, and the food has a pH of 6.4, which prevents the formation of struvite stones.
