MCX4D is an input and output expander designed for use in the access control system RACS 5.
The module is designed to handle 4 transitions, act as a power and communication distributor, and serve a backup battery.
For each service transition, the extender offers: 2 inputs, 2 outputs, a communication interface for readers and 2 power outputs.
The electrical circuits designed to serve each transition are electrically isolated from each other, which means that an accident or sabotage in one of the transitions does not affect the operation of the remaining transitions.
Expander MCX4D is powered by an external power supply 13.8 VDC, which at the same time is the source of power locks, readers and other transition elements.
In the event of a power failure, the entire system is powered by a backup battery that can be charged as needed.
