The RPi Camera I has a wide-angle lens and variable depth of focus. It is an improved version of the Raspberry Pi Camera V1.3 module. It uses a 5 MP Omnivision OV5647 sensor, controlled exposure, white balance and irradiance detection. The module uses a CSI bus, so the data transfer rate is extremely high. This allows you to record video in 1080p at 30 frames per second, 720p60 and 640x480p90 formats, or take photos in 2592 × 1944 pixels.
