The MAX9814 is a microphone and amplifier module from Adafruit. It has a microphone and amplifier built right in, so the user can use it right away in their projects without having to deal with complicated amplifier and microphone matching. The microphone works by converting the vibration of the plate due to sound waves into an electrical signal, which is amplified by an amplifier specially selected for audio signals of various volumes, so that closer, loud sounds will not drown out distant, weak sounds, sound amplification (gain) is performed automatically. That signal can now be transmitted to the microcontroller's analog connector.
