Artisan & Artist has adopted the braiding technique known as Ayatake-gumi, which has been primarily used since the Kamakura period as part of omogai (a piece of equipment used on a horse's mouth). One of the features of Ayatakegumi is that various patterns can be expressed depending on the combination of the braided threads.
