Volcano compatible hardened nozzle 0.4 mm. Compatible with: Volcano 1.75 mm hot-end.The premium PrimaCreator nibs are a series of replacement nibs that can make a bigger difference than you think. A high-quality nib that is comparable to a sharp pencil, it produces a perfect print.
All PrimaCreator nozzles are made of the highest quality brass, copper or steel (depending on the type). All nozzles are manufactured with a tolerance of less than ± 0.01 mm. This means that during extrusion, the surface of your plastic will be very smooth and clear, which of course will improve your prints.
The PrimaCreator tip manufacturing process starts with the selection of high-quality material. When the material reaches the factory, the first step is an optical inspection of the material that will be used for each batch of tips. Then it’s time to compress the material, in other words, to make it into a long rod. In our process, this is done only once, in many other (cheaper) cases this process has to be repeated several times, often even 3-4 times, but you don’t get the same results.
After this process, the material passes through an ultrasonic cleaning bath, and then is cleaned again and protected from surface oxidation.
The tip will now take shape with millimetre precision, with a tolerance of less than ± 0.01 mm.
Removing sharp edges from the tips is a very important step, as it makes up a large part of the result. If too many sharp edges are left on the tip, the tip will clog more easily. Therefore, the tip must be very smooth and clean before use. Several tips are selected from each batch and cut in half to ensure that all specifications are met and the surface is in perfect condition.
