ProStar 4 sand filtration How does sand filtration work? The ProStar 4 sand filter was inspired by nature - and here rainwater is transformed into crystal clear spring water by filtering through permeable rock layers. During sand filtration, the water flows through quartz sand, which retains even small impurities and only clean, filtered water returns to the pool. Therefore, it is important to rinse the filter sand frequently to prevent contaminants from settling in the sand. We recommend rinsing the filter at least once a week. Sand filtration composition and description The ProStar 4 sand filtration system consists of a filter container that holds 17 kg of filter sand. The container is made of high-quality polypropylene (PP). It is solid, resistant to corrosion and the most common chemicals used in swimming pools. The filter has a drain valve, a pressure gauge, built-in filter bowl components, including an easy-to-use 6-way valve (built into the filter bowl cover), a 200 W pump motor and a plastic stand for on-site assembly. The system is made of high-quality materials, strictly complies with technical standards and is controlled. Recommendations for reducing operating costs: if you use a reduced electricity tariff (e.g. electricity at night), you can turn on the filtration while this tariff is active. For filtration, you can purchase a timer switch socket at hobby markets or online, which turns the filtration on and off at a set time. This can significantly reduce operating costs.
