Connecting a wired or wireless remote control to Arduino motherboards becomes easy with the Cytron PS2 Shield along with the provided Arduino library. The Cytron PS2 Shield (SHIELD-PS2) is an Arduino controller-compatible add-on compatible with Arduino UNO, Arduino Duemilanove, Arduino Mega, Arduino Leonardo and possibly other pin-compatible motherboards. The Cytron PS2 Shield features a compact yet robust PS2 controller converter. The Cytron PS2 Shield is powered by the Arduino motherboard. With the Cytron PS2 Shield reading joystick and button status on a PS2 controller is as easy as reading UART data. It is also possible to connect a standard PS2 controller connector - wired or wireless.

The Shield-PS2 has side headers that allow you to stack more Arduino boards on it. In addition, the user has the option to use hardware or software UART to communicate with the Arduino board. In this way, the Arduino receives the status of the PS2 controller. The Shield-PS2 reset is a connection to Arduino analog pin no. 1 (A1). The user can pull out this analog pin to reset the board.

Cytron Shield-PS2 is not sold with a PS2 controller.
