Product Description The AMD Ryzen 7000 Direct Die Frame is a CPU mounting frame designed for mounting without an integrated heat spreader. By omitting the heat spreader, the CPU cooler can be mounted directly on the CPU chips, allowing for significantly lower temperatures. The AMD Ryzen 7000 Direct Die Frame V2 variant offers greater compatibility with AM5 processors, especially the Ryzen 7000X3D processors. When the CPU head is cut off, the CPU heat spreader is removed. This is often done to replace the thermal conductivity used by the manufacturer with a higher quality thermal paste or liquid metal such as Thermal Grizzly's Conductonaut before installing the heat spreader. With so-called "direct stamping", the heat spreader is completely omitted, so the base plate of the CPU cooler is in direct contact with the CPU.
