Protection against ultraviolet rays
Ultraviolet radiation can negatively affect the image, so it can be less contrasty and bright. The Kenko REALPRO UV filter effectively reduces UV light to 390 nm. UV clipping comes from special optical glass, and in many similar filters this comes at the expense of exposure, which can weaken and lose effectiveness over time. Due to its properties, the glass filter has a visually light yellowish shade compared to the usual protective filter. This is normal and does not distort the color balance of the image.

The filter is made of thin and transparent glass, so it works only against the bear and has no effect on the image. By using the new filter cap, the photographer can shoot for a long time even in harsh weather conditions and is less distracted by cleaning the optics. If the surface is still dirty, clean it much faster and more efficiently compared to conventional filters. The resistance to contamination of the new filter was immediately appreciated by photographers, which was the main focus of shooting in difficult weather conditions.

High light transmission
