Dixit 9 Anniversary Edition Game (New Edition)
On the occasion of Dixit's 10th anniversary, the game developers created an unusual project - they invited all the graphic designers who have prepared illustrations so far, who combined their work with the general theme of history and stories from around the world.
This is how the Anniversary Edition was created: a unique set of 84 cards that will enter your heart and awaken the power of unlimited imagination.
Dixit is an association game whose unusual graphic design, simple rules and unlimited imagination create a new dimension of entertainment.
What is it?
Each player in turn becomes the narrator. He chooses one of the 6 pictures and comes up with an association for it. A sentence can be one word, a sound, a quote - there are no limits, you can even sing something! The other players then choose from their cards the one they think best matches the storyteller's password and place it face down on the table. The Storyteller shuffles all these cards, including his own, and places them face down on the table. The players (except the storyteller) vote in secret to determine which card is the card that the storyteller has made an association with. Once everyone has chosen, the scoring begins.
If no one guesses which card belonged to the narrator because his association was too abstract, he gets no points and the other players are rewarded. Similarly, if all the voices point to the storyteller card, it means that the association was too simple or too literal. Other combinations are awarded points and note that if any of the players vote for the card you played because you played what they thought suited the association better, you get bonus points!
So it's worth playing cards smartly, trying to confuse other players, and those with whom we have an interesting association, and wait for your turn.
Remember, a picture is worth a thousand words!
The author of the game is Jean Louis Roubira, a doctor who works at the Poitiers Hospital with young patients experiencing difficulties in the school environment and beyond. After a few games of Dixit, they noticed a significant improvement in their language and relationships with other people. The game can also be used as a pedagogical and therapeutic tool.
