Neewer MRC HD 58mm UV filter is a protective UV filter. This UV filter reduces haze and reduces exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays while improving contrast. Great for high altitude and snow photos without a blue cast. Keep this filter on the lens to protect it from dust, scratches and shocks.

High-quality optical glass protects the lens from dirt, scratches, fingerprints and unexpected damage.
30-LAYER OPTICAL COATING
A multi-layer UV filter with a 30-layer optical coating and up to 99.8% light transmission (with a minimum light reflection of less than 0.1%) blocks UV rays from 300nm to 410nm to reduce flare and ghosting and ensure accurate color reproduction rendition. The coatings are also antistatic, resistant to oil, water and scratches. 
STRONG FILTER FRAME
The filter frame is made of aluminum and magnesium alloy, making it strong and durable. Thanks to its precision manufacturing and matte black anodized finish, the screw-on filter is easy to use, and the metal filter frame reduces light reflection. The 5.5mm thick filter is just 3.5mm deep when screwed onto the lens to prevent lens vignetting - ideal for wide-angle and telephoto lenses.
