The K10LLCO carbon monoxide sensor features a Kidde electrochemical sensor that is guaranteed to last for 10 years. It is powered by a built-in battery that does not need to be replaced throughout the life of the device. This solution allows the detector to be installed in the optimal place in the room and provides protection even in the event of a power outage. When the permissible CO level is exceeded, it is signaled optically (red LED) and acoustically (loud, pulsating sound signal with a strength of 85dB). The device's memory stores information about the detection of CO concentration above 100 PPM. As a result, the user can make sure that carbon monoxide has not been released in the room during his absence. The sensor has a test/reset button that allows you to test the unit and reset the alarm. The efficiency management system constantly monitors, among other things: the sensor, the internal circuits and the battery status. In the event of a fault or low battery, the yellow LED flashes and a warning beep sounds. In addition, the sensor has a function that allows you to quickly check the correct response of the sensor to the CO test gas. Thanks to the specially designed housing, the sensor can be mounted not only on the wall, but also on a flat surface, for example on the bedside table next to the bed. Has a lock that prevents disassembly of the wall-mounted device. After 10 years of power on, the sensor will remind you to replace the device. The K10LLCO is marked with the B construction mark, confirming compliance with the Polish standard PN-EN 50291-1: 2018+AC 2021 for home carbon monoxide detectors. The research was carried out by the Center for Fire Protection Science and Research National Research Institute Józef Tuliszkowski (CNBOP-PIB). In addition, it has a BSI certificate confirming compliance with the requirements of the BS EN 50291-1: 2018 standard issued by the British Standards Institution.
