Extralink poe power adapter (power adapter) designed to supply electricity through selected twisted-pair cable wires to network devices such as media converter, access points, cameras etc. The poe 24V 1A power supply enables the transmission of network data in gigabit ethernet while supplying power in the same cable. This model allows transmission at the speed of gigagbit eth, is a passive poe solution and does not comply with the ieee 8023ataf standard. Unlike power supplies with a 5.5/2.1mm jack, the Poe adapter allows direct power supply to the poe devices, no additional network accessories are required.
The power supply has a 1.2 meter long power cable terminated with a clover-type connector, has two RJ45 ports. One of them connects the device to be powered and the other one is used for patchcord connection to a switch or router. It can be installed in places like living quarters, teletechnical rooms or rack cabinets.
The LED indicates the correct operation of the device. If one of the following protections is tripped: short-circuit and overload protection, the power supply cuts off the voltage from the device. After the failure stops, the power supply unit will automatically restore the voltage.
