It offers excellent cutting quality. The protective ring allows the user to work without any risk.
We use Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel. Thanks to the added chromium, it is anti-corrosive and requires no special care. A minimum carbon content of 0.40% provides an excellent cutting edge. Blade hardness 57-58 HRC
The mythical tree of the Mediterranean! This hardwood is yellow to orange in color and the grain is dense and often tortuous. Soft to the touch, has a nice polish.
The safety ring, invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, is attached to all folding knives from No. 06. Cut from stainless steel, the Virobloc has two parts, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the knife open (use safety), it is now possible to lock the knife closed (transport safety).
