All about the product
Lisboa: The Queen Variant replaces card 57 when it appears in the game and adds a new twist to playing Lisboa! D. Mariana Vitória de Bragança (1718-1781) When the king could not rule, the queen became regent. Mariana Vitória disliked the Marquis of Pombal due to his handling of the Tavors case, in which a noble and influential family, friends of the queen, were accused of attempting to murder the regent, and later the marquis publicly executed them without a fair trial, solely to gain political power. In 1777, immediately after the king's death, the queen dismissed the marquis from his position by royal decree and sent him back to his hometown of Pombal.
