The SkyWatcher 1.25'' dual polarizing filter with variable bandwidth is designed to reduce the amount of incoming light when observing brighter objects. Mostly used for observing different phases of the Moon, Jupiter and other bright objects with larger telescopes. The image is no longer dazzling, the eye can distinguish small details better. 'Night vision' will be preserved. Images will look natural with no color changes. Especially convenient for owners of Newtonian reflectors, you screw it into the eyepiece and rotate the filter to change the amount of incoming light.Also, this filter is designed to observe nature when the bright sun is dazzling, reduces reflections from window glass and rippling water.
The bandwidth is changed from 40% to 1%.
